Heikki Ulvi

GLASS DESIGNER

I graduated as an art teacher from University of Arts and Design in 1980.  I have worked 30 years as a teacher and at the same time as a painter, graphic designer and sculptor.

In 1988 I was captivated by glass and still I work with it.  I have a glass studio, gallery, glass gift shop and art café in Plassi, Kalajoki.

In my  work I use stained glass, tiffany and various glass melting techniques, and  I combine different materials like stone, steel and wood with glass.

Currently I am nominee for National Council for the Visual Arts.
