Heikki Viinikainen
DESIGNER, GLASS ARTIST
Studio Heikki Viinikainen creates and produces glass for daily use and in limited editions. The collection contains also unique art glass objects. All objects are made by hand in Nuutajärvi Glass Village in a hotshop of a glass cooperative called Lasikomppania.
“As well as the harmony of the shape, material and use of property I search for the object a dimension which puts my thoughts on. Special in glass material is its many opportunities from sensitivity to rich use of color. Glass combines in a unique way color, shape and space that lives through the light. The Glass material inspires and leads me to new explorations in the glass world.”
