GLASS BLOWER

I have combined various tehniques, such as incalmo, ring technique, filigree and endgraving in my pieces. The starting point of my works is often a technical  challenge and insight for solving it. The ideas producted by these insight provide new perspectives for approaching familiar techniques.

”Over the years we have come to know Joonas Laakso as an exceptionally talented glassblower and glass artist. Despite his young age, he has highly original, fresh and outstanding artistic views. Owing to his solid professional skills, he has excellently succeeded in expressing them in his work in glass.”
