is nonprofit organization aiming to increase knowledge and respect of the Finnish Glass Art and Glass Design. We upkeep Finnish Glass Artist’s and Designer’s professional profiles and galleries.
Finnishglass.fi is a site for artists. students, teachers, collectors, galleries - everyone who has a passion for glass, arts, design and aesthetics.Membership is free and open for Finnish Glass Artists and Glass Designers.
Our Story
The Finnish Glass Museum founded a site called Finnish Glass which aims to report information about new Finnish Glass art and Glass workers. In the first phase this site will be used to inform the International community about Artists whose works are included in the Finnish Glass Art 2005-2010 touring exhibition.
The Finnish Glass Art 2005-2010 exhibition tour began in 2012 in Slovenia and Slovakia .In 2013 the exhibition continued in France at the Carmaux Glass Museum after which it moved to Germany were it was on show from 23.11.2013-16.3.2014. In November 2014 the exhibition will open in Tallinn at the Estonian Design Museum from where it will move in 2015 to Riga, Latvia.
