GLASS DESIGNER

My material is glass. I create glass sculptures using several different techniques.

Also I design small batch products.

My educational background consists of twodegrees:

I am a ceramics and glass designer (university of applied sciences) and a glassblower (artisan).

I strongly sense the moment, feelings, and causes and effects within my livingspace. Many works and objects cultivated by people tickle my creative thinking.

Iwant to bring a deeper level, a sense of presence, into receiving and feeling art, so that the work of art and its location may give different meanings to the viewer. It is important to me that my objects can be touched.

I strongly focus on the characteristics of the material and various alternativetechniques. I always aim to achieve an end result of high quality while maintaining aesthetics as my priority.

My material is glass, because it does not give in; it demands respect and sensitivity – like all of us.

Glass is the coolest thing I know!
